Conciderations for the Referee

Extrait du "Referee Manual" de Touch NZ, 5ème edition :

"The following should be the prime conciderations for the Referee who is commencing a match :

• the Referee must be able to see the ball,
• the Referee must position as close as practical to the ball,
• the Referee must position to see as many players as possible,
• the Referee must be able to see the Support Referee on the sideline,
• the Referee must be able to see and control the defending players who will become involved following the tap,
• the Referee must maintain a view of the ball and players involved to monitor any forward passes and witness the touch,
• the Referee must be first to the five (5) meter line at the touch and maintain a position ahead the ball
• the Referee has to be named (nickname) "superman" or "wonderwoman"... "Erick Acker" is as well accepted, except if the Referee is a woman."
